Within the new Publishing tab on the track level, you can select a songwriter by either:
- Clicking “Add Writer” on the left under the Publishing tab.
- Or, using the Licensor (Songwriter) dropdown to assign the songwriter.

Existing Writers: If the songwriter already exists in your system, you can assign the publishing contract to the same profile.
- New Writers: If they do not yet exist, you can create them now. If you are only managing the publishing rights, you can create a specific “Songwriter” licensor.
Note: For multi-writer deals, you’ll need to adjust the publishing contract accordingly to accurately attribute each writer’s share. Please refer to the Publishing Contracts - First Steps section for more detailed information on how to manage multi-writer splits.
