For each work you register, you’ll need to enter the percentage of publishing rights you control. It’s important that the total ownership always adds up to 100%. If the ownership is shared, for example, 50/50 between two writers, and you are only registering on behalf of one writer, you must attribute the remaining 50% as “Not Controlled,” as shown below:
Note: If the work involves multiple writers, remember that the deal rate must reflect each writer’s ownership percentage. For more information on handling multi-writer deals, please refer to the Publishing Contracts - First Steps section.
With the ownership percentage set, you can now choose whether to include this work in song-level adjustments. For more details on this process, proceed to the next section of the user guide.
