If you wish to register a work for which you do not control the recording rights or that you are not distributing through ampsuite, you now have the option to create a Publishing-Only Release.
When creating a new release, you will have the choice between a Standard Release or a Publishing-Only Release.
Once you select Publishing-Only, you will be prompted to create your release. A publishing-only release requires less metadata than a standard release:
After creating the publishing-only release, you can set up the tracks as you normally would. You will then register these tracks as “works”.
There are some additional fields available to help you manage your publishing catalogue effectively:

Type of Rights: Record whether you have both Publishing & Master rights, or a combination of both for the track.

Keywords: Add a custom selection of keywords to describe the mood, instruments used, or other specific attributes of the track. This can be useful for pitching or categorising your catalogue.
