So now you have your system set up, the first thing to do is go in and add your first label from the “Labels / Artists” section.
Every release in your ampsuite system must be attached to a label. For Beatport and Traxsource all releases must be linked to a label profile, which can only be linked to one distributor at a time:
- If your label is brand new we will need to set the label profile up for you before your releases can go live.
- If your label is already live on those stores we will need to request a transfer from your previous distributor, and we can then enable a catalogue import for you to import your catalogue directly from Beatport.
You will be prompted to select if you are adding a brand new label, or you already have catalogue live on Beatport/Traxsource:
Once you create the label, this will trigger an email to our label support team.
If you are adding a brand new label, adding a description and example streaming links are mandatory for approval on dance stores, so please include as much information as you can. Our team will then set it up for you on Beatport/Traxsource, no further action is needed from your side.
If your label is already live on Beatport/Traxsource, we will contact your previous distributor via to request a transfer of the label profile. When that is approved, we will enable a catalogue import function in your system to allow you to import the catalogue from Beatport directly - https://support.ampsuite.com/hc/en-us/articles/12892441086740-Beatport-Back-Catalog-Transfer
You will need to add a couple of bits of metadata to the releases, which are required for other stores but not present in Beatport, in order to prepare the catalogue for delivery to the other stores, such as iTunes, Spotify, Amazon etc. Those stores will then require a redelivery as your old distributor will take them down.
*Please note that Beatport/Traxsource are specialist stores for electronic dance music only. If your label does not fit these genres you can ignore the steps above and simply select "Beatport/Traxsource Not Required".*
